Area Kids Advance To Finals In The Class 2A Boys Track Meet
CHARLESTON – In the Class 2A Boys State Track Meet prelims, Civic Memorial advanced one relay team to the finals.
The CM Eagles 4×800 team which is made up of Justice Eldridge, Lucas Naugle, Dj Dutton, and Aslan Henderson will go into the finals seeded 6th. They ran a time of 8:09.80 which took seven seconds off of the sectional time.
Henderson then came back and competed in the 800-meter race but came up short to advance to the finals. In the 1600-meter race, Justice Eldrige came up one spot short to advance to the finals. He placed 13th and they took the top 12. Jackson Collman also missed the cut.
Triad advanced one relay team to the finals. The 4×100 team punched their ticket to the finals and will come into the finals seeded 6th.
Roxana’s Ashton Noble punched his ticket to the finals in the discus. He threw 50.03 meters to advance. He will come in seeded 3rd.
