3 Killed Including Gunman After A Shooting At A St Louis High School

ST. LOUIS – St Louis Police Department responded to an active shooter at the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School at 3125 South Kingshighway Monday morning.

” When officers arrived on scene, they entered the building looking for the shooter. The shooter was located on the third floor of the school, after an exchange of gunfire the suspect was shot. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No officers were injured ” St louis Police Chief Michael Sack said

In total, eight people were injured, including one adult female who was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound after being transported to a local hospital, as well as a teen girl who was also shot and killed. The other victims that were injured was from gunshot wounds and shrapnel injures.

The police chief said the suspect was approximately 20 years old. He has not been identified. The motive behind the shooting is not clear at this time.
