Meadowbrook Fire Department Requested Box-Alarm After Kitchen Fire

MEADOWBROOK – Meadowbrook Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire in the 500 block of Cunningham Lane just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

When firefighters arrived on scene the homeowner told them that he was cooking, and a fire started. Firefighters were able to make a quick attack on the fire before it spread to the other parts of the home.

Most of the damage was contained to the kitchen. Meadowbrook Fire Department requested a Box-Alarm which brought Bethalto and Rosewood Heights to the scene. No injuries were reported.
