Rose Mary Novich, 56, of Troy, Illinois passed away at St. Louis University Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2022.
She was born July 25, 1966, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Norma (Denbow) Jarvis. She married Steven P. Novich on February 14, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nevada and he survives.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed her years of working at Boatman’s Bank in St. Louis and working retail and as a cashier at Cracker Barrel in Troy. She loved gardening, interior decorating, and holiday festivities. She was very proud of her daughters, cherished her little granddaughter, and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Zach Lowe of St. Jacob and Sydney Novich of Champaign; granddaughter, Sophia Lowe, and a grandson on the way; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Denise Jarvis of Granite City, Kurtis and Tanya Gull of Ohio and Ray and Mary Morgan of Edwardsville; mother-in-law, Judy Novich of Florida; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlyn DeRossett, and father-in-law, John Novich.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice and may be accepted at the funeral home.
