Firefighters Battle Structure Fire In Meadowbrook Thursday

MEADOWBROOK – Meadowbrook Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 5200 block of IL-140 at around 5:50 p.m. Thursday.

When firefighters arrived on scene the building was fully involved. Meadowbrook called for a box-alarm due to the fire. Bethalto, Rosewood Heights and Cottage Hills Fire Departments responded.

The building which was a lawn mower repair shop previously had just sold to a new owner. The building which was already in bad condition before the fire sustained a lot of damage.

No injuries were reported, and it is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
