SOUTH ROXANA – South Roxana firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of Southard Ave in South Roxana for the report of a house fire on Sunday.
When crews arrived, they found a fully involved house fire. Hartford, Roxana, Wood River, and Edwardsville Fire Departments also arrived at the scene to provide mutual aid after a box alarm was struck to help extinguish the fire.

Madison County Emergency Management responded with the rehab unit and Alton Memorial Amblacr had an ambulance in case of any injuries. Police officers closed some roads down so firefighters could get the fire under control. The house appears to be a total loss.
No injuries were reported and unknown what caused the fire.
