Busy Night For Area Firefighters, Cottage Hills Battle Garage Fire

COTTAGE HILLS – Cottage Hills Fire Department responded to the 500 block of Wood River Ave in Cottage Hills just before 1:00 Monday morning for a garage fire which was fully involved.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a detached garage fully involved. A box alarm was requested which Rosewood Heights, Bethalto, and Meadowbrook Fire Departments to the scene. Fosterburg covered Cottage Hills during the fire.

The garage appears to be a total loss. No injuries were reported. Alton Memorial Ambulance Service provided fire standby just in case of an emergency on the scene.

It is unknown at this time what caused the fire.
