Tracy L. Sanchez, 54, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away aat 8:34 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her home. She was born August 12, 1969, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Melba (Ireland) and Raymond E. Jones Sr. She married Eberardo Rico Sanchez on March 23, 2001, and he survives. She was a residential assessor at the Madison County Assessor’s Office with 24 years of dedicated service. Tracy was a member of the Mexican Honorary Commission and the Granite City Moose Lodge #272. She loved her days of playing Bingo, listening to Elvis music and enjoyed the family float trips. She cherished her grandchildren and was affectionately called Manny by many of them. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brittney and Jacob Hartman of Granite City; a son, Nicolas Sanchez of Granite City; two grandchildren, Henley Hartman of Granite City and Dylan Hartman of Granite City; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Diane Jones Jr. of Granite City; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Samuel Rico and Jenna Sanchez; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Brian Smith officiating.
