Janice Hartman

Janice Hartman, age 76 of Highland, IL, died Friday, September 29, 2023, at her home in Highland, IL.

She was born on Friday, June 20, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of  Howard and Dorothy (nee Wisniewski) Striebel.

On Saturday, December 8, 1973, she married Thomas C. Hartman at Grace Lutheran Church, Oak Creek, WI, by Rev. Fred Kowert.

She was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland and St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary.

Janice was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI.  She worked at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee. The Hartman family moved to Bloomington, IL, and she worked for the Four Seasons Health Club.  Later they moved to Highland, IL, in 1996, and she worked for First Mid Bank and later Basler Electric.  She was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed cooking, knitting, bible study group, involvement with Stonecroft Ministries, Green Bay Packers, golfing, puzzles, Arizona mountains and wintering in Mesa, Arizona,

Husband – Thomas C. Hartman, Highland, IL

Son – Geoff T. (Significant Other-Lydia Ulmer) Hartman, O Fallon, IL

Daughter – Laura S. (Mark) Carollo, Elmhurst, IL

Grandchild – Alex Carollo, Elmhurst, IL

Grandchild – Ethan Carollo, Elmhurst, IL

Grandchild – Madeline Hartman, O Fallon, IL.

She was preceded in death by:

Father – Howard Striebel

Mother – Dorothy Striebel (nee Wisniewski).

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. William E. Kapp, Pastor, Evangelical United Church of Christ, officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
