Stacey Jo Hosto, 57, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2023, at Bria in Godfrey, Illinois. She was born in Staunton, Illinois on February 20, 1966, the youngest child of Adelia Clarice Hosto (Fischer) and the late Ramon Leonard Hosto.
Stacey is survived by her loving mother, Adelia Hosto; sisters, Kathy Turner and Susan Gusewelle; brothers, Keith (Sandy) Hosto and Michael (Renee) Hosto; daughters, Casey Stumpf and Micaela Collins; son, Bradley (Jeffly) Stumpf; granddaughters, Samantha Cornejo, Kalia Cornejo, and Desirae’ Collins; and grandsons, Daniel “DJ” Cornejo and Daunte’ “DJ” Collins Jr.
Stacey attended Edwardsville High School. She loved to cook delicious meals for others and enjoyed writing short stories. Her free time was spent caring for her sweet dog, Daisy, watching Cardinals games, or sharing laughter with loved ones. She had a passion for helping those with less and always rooted for the underdog. She will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, as well as her love for her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Edwardsville Township Park on Sunday, October 22nd, from noon to 3:00pm, with a eulogy beginning at 1:30pm. The ceremony will be a time for family and friends to come together and honor Stacey’s memory.
