Steven Ray Wimbish Sr., 58, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away Mon. Nov. 13, 2023 at his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1965 in Riverside, CA to the late Trudy Williams and Marine Wimbish.
Steve loved being outdoors and was a locomotive mechanic.
He and Victoria “Vicki” L. Schaefer were married Sept. 30, 2011 in Edwardsville, IL. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Steven Ray (Tabby) Wimbish Jr., IL; a step-son: Aaron Martin; 3 grandchildren: Riley Boone, Lucas Boone and Seth Martin; a brother: Doug(Betty) Wimbish all of Granite City; and 2 sisters: Sandy (Stephen) Hayden of Cottage Hills, IL and Vicki (Chuck) Hughes of TN.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Krystal L. Wimbish; and a sister: Cindy Pulley.
