Marquette Girls Basketball Team Drop First Game Of The Season

COLUMBIA – The Marquette Catholic girls’s basketball team started off the season with a slow start, they dropped their opening game 51-27 to Columbia at the Columbia Tip-Off Classic.
Columbia jumped out to a 21 to 2 lead after the first quarter. Columbia extended their lead going into the locker room 35-7.
In the third quarter, Columbia pushed their lead to 49-18. The Explorers outscored Columbia 9-2 in the final quarter.
Allie Weiner led Marquette with seven points and Laila Davis with five points. Jordan Holten led Columbia with nineteen points and Ava Langhans with thirteen points.
