ALTON – The Alton Lady Redbirds basketball team opened their season with a big win over North Point 75-24 in the 28th Annual Lady Redbird Tip-Off Basketball Tournament.
Alton jumped out to a 26 to 4 lead after the first quarter. Alton extended their lead going into the locker room 45-14.

In the third quarter, Alton pushed their lead to 66-19. And in the final quarter, Alton outscored North Point 9-5
Jarius Powers led Alton with 24 points and Kiyoko Proctor with 12 points. , Morgan Robinson led North Point with 7 points while Elena Pender scored 6 points.
