ROXANA – Alton Marquette was able to get a win at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic with a 61-58 over Freeburg. Marquette will play Waterloo Gibault on Saturday for 5th place.
Marquette opened the game with a 19-13 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Marquette held on to the lead 36-27 to go into the locker room.

Marquette came out of the locker room and held on to the lead 47-42 going into the fourth quarter. In the final quarter, Freeburg outscored Marquette 16-14 but it wasn’t enough.
Marquette was led by Braden Kline with 25 points and Jaden Rochester with 14 points. Freeburg was led by Bryson Browning with 20 points and Cole Stuart with 17 points.
