Peggy Ann (Jaros) Jun passed away on November 28, 2023 in Rancho Mirage, CA, after a long battle with frontotemporal dementia.
She was born on December 26, 1952 in Granite City, IL, a daughter to the late John Joe and Audrey (Epping) Jaros. She married Reginald J. Jun on October 21, 1995 at Lover’s Leap, Land Harbor State Park in Lake Tahoe, NV. They resided in Ballwin, MO, until she retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb and moved to Rancho Mirage, CA. Peggy participated in a number of sports, but golfing with her husband and friends gave her the most joy. Golf memberships in Missouri and California created lasting friendships and memories. She was known for the loving care she gave the dogs and cats that graced her during her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, Reggie; sister-in-law, Grace Jaros of Maryville, IL; nephews, John Jaros and Mike Jaros, both of IL; great-niece, Audrey; great-nephew, Grant; aunts, Dolores Jaros of IL, Katie Konsky of IL and Emily Watson of VA; numerous first cousins from the Konsky, Scheibal and Jaros clans; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, John L. Jaros.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, with Father Jeff Holtman officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
