DUPO – A pedestrian was struck and killed at around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 255 in Dupo.
First responders along with the Illinois State Police responded to the scene. It is unknown at this time what led up to the accident and the Illinois State Police is investigating the accident.

IDOT sent out a tweet saying ” Southbound I-255 is closed at exit 6 in Monroe County near the JB Bridge. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use other bridges to enter Missouri”
