ROXANA – The Roxana Shells boys basketball team was back in action Tuesday night at home after placing fourth place at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic. Roxana was able to get the home win 46 to 29 over Staunton.
The Shells led the whole game, They jumped out to a 7-2 lead after the first quarter. Roxana was able to go into the locker room at halftime with a 25-13 lead. In the third quarter, Roxana held the Bulldogs to two points going into the final quarter with a 38 to 15 lead. In the final quarter, Roxana took out their starters halfway through the quarter and the Bulldogs were able to outscore the Shells 13-7.
Sean Maberry led the Shells with 10 points and Chris Walleck with 8. Braden Buffington led the Bulldogs with 7 points and Isiah Laux with 5 points.
