ROXANA – Crosstown rivals Roxana and EAWR faced off in a conference matchup Thursday night in Roxana. The Shells won in a lopsided game 54-29.
EAWR jumped out to an 8 to 4 lead after a back-and-forth and mostly defense game in the first quarter.

Roxana was able to take the lead in the second quarter and never looked back. They went into the locker room with a 24-13 lead.
In the third quarter, Roxana extended their lead over the Oilers 39-19. In the final quarter, Roxana outscored EAWR 15-10.
Ava Strohmeier led the Shells with 13 points, Laynie Gehrs with 10 points, and Daisy Daugherty with 9 points.
EAWR top scorers all with 6 points were Lily Tretter, Kaylynn Buttry, and Kaylin St Peters.
