Wood River Police Department Along With ILEAS Executed Search Warrant

WOOD RIVER – On December 15, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Wood River Police Department utilized the ILEAS Tactical Response Team to execute a search warrant at 507 N. Wood River Ave., Wood River, Illinois. The search warrant was executed on the address as a result of an undercover drug investigation conducted by the Wood River Police Department Street Crimes Unit.

Four people were removed from the home during the search warrant. All were taken into custody and transported to the Wood River City Jail. The investigation, as a result of the search warrant, is in the preliminary stage. Any criminal charges sought against those present will be presented to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
