Robert Henson

Robert James Henson 31 years old of Madison Illinois passed away on February 12, 2024 at 4:22 p.m. at Gateway Regional Medical Center.

Robert loved to go fishing and being around family anytime he got a chance too. He loved cooking out with his brothers and mother, Robert enjoyed chatting online with family and friends about anything and everything. He had a huge heart of gold and always will.  He was there for anyone who needed a helping hand day or night no questions asked. He would try to help you solve any of your problems or had a shoulder for you to cry on anytime you needed it. He will forever be missed but never forgotten.  We love you Robert now always and forever.

He is survived by his mother Patsy A. Minix of Madison Illinois Two brothers, Ronald W. Henson of Woodriver Illinois Russell L. Henson of Madison Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his father Howard Ronnie Minix, grandparents Judith Kaye Medlock, George G. Elkins, and grandparents Howard and Irene Minix, cousin Joshua Medlock and other family members.

It is profound sadness that we mark the passing of Robert Henson, a beacon of kindness, caring, and laughter, on February 12th 2024 at 4:22pm at the tender age of 31.  Robert’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, a testament to the depth of his warmth and the brightness of his spirit.

In his life, Robert was a source of joy, a mediator of peace, and a wellspring of compassion. His ability to bring light into the lives of others, to share a laugh in just the right moment, and to offer support with a gentle, understanding heart made him a cherished presence to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The strength and kindness Robert exhibited were reflections of the love and guidance he received from his family, especially his mother, from whom he inherited his kind spirit. To his brothers, who have lost not just a sibling but a true friend, and to his mother who has given so much love and nurturance, the community stands with you in your time of grief.

As we remember Robert, let us hold onto the lessons of love, the moments of laughter, and the peace he shared with us. May we honor his memory by embracing the qualities he embodied-kindness, thoughtfulness, and relentless pursuit of harmony.

Robert’s legacy is one of love and light, and though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit continues to inspire and guide us. In these difficult times, may we find solace in the memories we carry and love that never fades.

With heartfelt condolences, and all the support you need.

A family gathering will be held on April 6, 2024 at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m.
