WOOD RIVER – The Wood River Police Department along with other area police departments responded to the Bel-Air Motel Sunday afternoon for a male having a mental crisis.
The male was inside a motel room and refused to come out, An officer was heard on the loudspeaker asking him to come out of the hotel room with his hands up. After about three and a half hours the male came out of the room and complied with the officer’s commands.
An Alton Memorial Ambulance responded to the scene and took the male to an area hospital for treatment.
