Delores Leorene Johnson, 92, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Bria of Wood River. She was born on September 27, 1931, in Granite City, the daughter of the late Luther and Blanche (Griffin) Howland. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Lawana and Ross Wells of South Roxana, three grandchildren and their spouses: Danny and Amy Wells, Melanie and Mark Davidson, Megan and Justin Greco, eight great grandchildren, a sister: Karen Jones of Jerseyville, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Delores was a member of Restoration Church in Granite City and loved to go to church and worship her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved her family, loved to play card games especially pinochle, loved doing puzzles, embroidering, and old television shows.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Trevor Johnson, two sisters: Joanne Delp, Norma Conrad, and a brother: William Howland.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Larry Lacefield will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Restoration Church, 3375 Fehling Road, Granite City, Illinois, 62040, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
