Joyce Louise Rowland, 81, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 8:03 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Edwardsville Care Center in Edwardsville. She was born November 18, 1942, in Granite City, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Spear) Jones. Joyce enjoyed her years of retirement after many years of dedicated service as an office manager.
She was a proud Nana and loved spending time with her “grandchildren”. Joyce loved being outdoors taking in the sunshine whether it was working in her yard or just relaxing on her patio. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Joyce is survived by a daughter, Kelly Rowland of Granite City; many nieces and nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Jones and John Jones and two sisters, Doris Harris and her fraternal twin sister, Lois Webb.
In celebration of her life, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, with Reverend Sharon Autenreith officiating.
