


CHARLESTON – The 4×800 team from Father McGivney took home a state championship Saturday morning. The team consisted of Kaitlyn Hatley, Jane Cummins, Lilly Gilbertson, and Elena Rybak.
In the prelims on Thursday, they ran a time of 9:51.25 to come into the finals seeded 2nd behind Shelbyville. In the finals, McGivney finished at 9:30.01 followed by Shelbyville with a time of 9:39.85, and third place Cambridge at 9:43.55.
Last year McGivney finished second in this event.
