Mixed Day For Area Runners In The Class 2A Boys State Track Prelims

CHARLESTON – It was a mixed results day for area runners in the Class 2A state boys track prelims in Charleston on Friday.

The CM Eagles advanced their 4×800 relay team. They will be seeded 4th on Saturday. Also for the Eagles, Dj Dutton qualified for Saturday in the 800m. The Eagles Justice Eldridge was able to get the last spot in the 1600m to advance. CMs 4×400 did not advance to the finals.

East Alton Wood River lone competitor Jasiah Brown was able to advance to the finals in triple jump when he was able to jump 13.27.

It was a rough day for the Roxana Shells, They could not qualify any competitors. Shot Putts Gabe Smith, Roxanas 4×800, 4×100, and Andrew Ellis with the 100m all missed the cut.
