Douglas Beach Little passed away on July 6, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1944, in Granite City, Illinois, a son of the late Douglas F. and Ann (Pohlman) Little. He was married to Bonnie (Coultas) Little on November 12, 1971, and they made Chesterfield, Missouri their home. Doug is survived by his step daughter, Diana (Hosto) Bardelmeier of Edwardsville, Illinois, his daughter, Michele Little of O’Fallon, Missouri; sisters, Martha Knight of Columbus, Ohio, Jean (Nolan) Polette of Granite City, Illinois and Barb (Perry) Hendrickson of Glen Carbon, Illinois; sister-in-law, Ann (Vietmeier) Little of St. Charles, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Knight) Watson, Melanie (Knight) and Stephen Mueller, Jenny Little, Douglas Little, Robert Little, Christopher Little, Jordan (Hendrickson) and Curt Spaniol. Doug was a grandfather to Blair Bardelmeier and Grant and Vanessa (Bradford) Bardelmeier and a great grandfather to Breyer Bardelmeier. Douglas was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Little of Florissant, Missouri. Doug attended the University of Illinois, where he was a member of the fraternity Sigma Chi. He is a veteran, having served with the United States Army in Vietnam. Upon his return, he pursued an MBA degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He enjoyed tennis and golf throughout his life. The family will hold a private memorial service to honor Doug’s life. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
