JoAnn Nora Coleman, nee: Bryan, 75, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 11:09 a.m. Wed. July 17, 2024 at Aviston Countryside Manor in Aviston, IL.
She was born May 11, 1949 in St. Louis, MO and was a daughter of the late Sylvester & Virginia (Carpenter) Bryan.
JoAnn retired from Millenium Rail in Wood River, IL in 2010. She had been a longtime member of Johnson Road General Baptist Church. Being a grandma was her favorite joy in life. She also liked to sew and play dice and had been on a pool league for many years.
Survivors include a son: David Lynn Coleman of Kinderhook, IL ; 3 granddaughters: Jessica Hoelter, nee: Coleman of Troy, MO, Brooke Coleman of Aviston and Drew Coleman of Granite City; a bonus granddaughter who she loved dearly: Shae Mateer of Glen Carbon, IL; 9 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Leah, Aria, Kennedy, Gracelyn, Noah, Kendall, Allison and Avery; a brother: Don Porter of CA; and a sister: Jan McBride of Wentzville, MO. She is also survived by many close friends and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Eden Calvin.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at 4:00 p.m. Tues. July 23, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation and private burial will follow.
