Cheryl “Sam” Lee White, 59, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Sat. July 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Sept. 6, 1964 in St. Louis, MO to James Dickerson and Jean (Jakel) Dickerson Fritz.
Cheryl was a very passionate member of Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.). she enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and sitting by the lake with her loved ones and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years: William C. White of Pontoon Beach; her children: William (Jennifer) White II of Mitchell, IL, Snowwhite (Jonathan) Nixon of Coffeen, IL, Michelle (Joseph) Jackson of Mitchell, IL, Bambi (Felix) WhiteVayner of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren: Iceley, Justin, Robert, Zackary, Mackenzie, Lillian and Aneira; along with many more friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Dickerson and Jean (Jakel) Dickerson Fritz; her beloved sister: Christa Price; and her grandson: William C. White III.
A private burial service will be held for her spouse and children, followed by a public Celebration of Life at the Granite City Moose Lodge at Noon, Wed. July 24, 2024.
