Darlaine “Dolly” “Lainey” M. Pearson (nee Hemann), 67, of Belleville, IL, born on July 23, 1957, in East St. Louis, IL peacefully passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Darlaine was a statistical typist, homemaker and librarian. She loved all animals. When she wasn’t caring for her cats, she enjoyed watching game shows, reading, going on walks, spending time with her family, and an ice-cold Milwaukee’s Best Light. She never knew a stranger and would do anything for anyone. Her humor was one of a kind and her blue eyes would light up every room. She will be greatly missed and is gone too soon. Her last selfless act on Earth was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Darlaine was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Julia Hemann (nee Fauke); her beloved husband, Kenneth Michael Pearson; her brother, Darvel Hemann; and a baby she was unable to carry to full term.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Trisha J. Pearson of Freeburg, IL, Lindsay M. Pearson of Belleville, IL; and two grandchildren, Gage M. Racine (Sophia Mick) and Ashtin W. Hauser.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating. Burial procession will immediately follow to Green Mount Catholic Cemetery; 679 S. Green Mount Rd., Belleville, IL 62220.
