Roberto “Don Poncho” Perez, 72 of East St. Louis, IL passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born in Sacramento, CA, on January 13, 1952. He was raised by Lucio Castellanos and Junaita Zamora .
Roberto met Alicia Rodriguez and they were married in Mexico She precedes him in death. He is survived by 3 daughters: Victoria (Gilberto) Lomeli, Elizabeth (Ampelio) Muñoz, Gisela (Javier) Rosales; 2 sons: Erick Rodriguez, Lucio Rodriguez; 14 grandchildren: a brother: 2 brothers: Jose Castellanos, Martin Castellanos; and a sister: Carmen Castellanos.
Besides his parents and wife, Alicia, Roberto is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Pablo Castellanos, Juan Castellanos and a sister: Victoria Castellanos.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wojstrom Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at Holy Roasry Catholic Church, 2716 N. 42nd Street, Fairmount City, IL on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, IL.
