David Christopher Seneczyn, 48, of Swansea, IL, born January 19, 1976, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL, after a courageous seven and half year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his death.
A Belleville native, Dave was raised with a deep connection to his community. He excelled in football and baseball at Althoff Catholic High School before fulfilling his dream of attending the University of Illinois, where he majored in accounting. Dave founded Nobel C., an IT consulting firm named in honor of his three children.
Dave married the love of his life, Michelle Weber, on July 12, 2002. Together, they created a loving family with their three incredible children: Nolan (20), Annabel (17), and Charlie (11). Dave’s world revolved around his family, and he found immense joy in coaching his sons and watching his daughter and sons excel at sports. He was an avid sports enthusiast who could recite statistics like no other.
Dave was not only a devoted family man but also a loyal friend to many. He cherished fun times spent boating, swimming, hiking, and tailgating, and he found great happiness in golfing with his dad, brother, and friends. A highlight of his golfing career was making a hole in one during his battle with cancer, a milestone that his oncologist used to inspire other patients.
Dave is survived by his wife, Michelle and children Nolan, Annabel, and Charlie; his parents, Ronald and Constance Seneczyn; his sister and brother, Kimberly (Brent) Straub and Dennis (Melody) Seneczyn; his mother-in-law, Lisa Weber; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tara Becker and Mike Weber; and eight nieces and nephews: Sophie and Drew Straub, Lucy and Eli Seneczyn, Kelsey Porter (Carson Whitley, fiancé), Brock Becker, and Mack and Paddy Weber. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Sophie Seneczyn and Patricia Kettman and James Tierney, as well as his father-in-law, Glenn Weber. Dave is remembered by countless other family members and friends.
