Harold “Mick” W. Watters, Jr., age 69, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his home. Mick was born on November 13, 1954, in Germany, a son of the late Harold W. Watters Sr., and Yasuko “Katie” (Imamura) Watters.
Mick was a United States Air Force veteran who proudly served with honor. He retired from the Geology Department at S.I.U.E., as a research associate. Mick was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan, and he enjoyed gardening and listening to old school KSHE classic rock. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving brother, Christopher (Lisa) Watters of Arlington, TX; nephew, Matthew (Treva) Watters of Prairie Village, KS; great-nephew, Luke Watters; extended family and friends.
Mick’s wishes were to be cremated and to have no formal services.
