Mary Jane Orlet, age 85 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, August 18, 2024, at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL.
She was born on Monday, April 24, 1939, in Saint Rose, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Annie (nee Richter) Trame, Sr..
On Tuesday, May 1, 1962, she married Walter Henry Orlet at St. Rose Catholic Church – St. Rose, Illinois, who passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Highland, Illinois.
Mary Jane was born at home in rural St. Rose; she grew up on the family farm and helped on the farm until her marriage. After she reared her family, she cleaned houses & businesses, ran Parkway Ice Cream Shop, and did retail sales for Rural King, Dollar General Store and Walmart. She enjoyed reading, watching television, playing video games and time on the computer. Mary Jane was devoted to her family; she enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She was known for her excellent baking and cooking.

Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with Rev. Fr. Pat G. Jakel, officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland, IL.
