Rose Marie Brown, nee Siebert, 92, of Belleville, IL, born February 29, 1932, in Freeburg, IL, died Monday, August 19, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Brown worked in civil service and retired from Lockheed Aircraft Company. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL. Rose’s life was richly filled with love, adventure, and joy. She and her husband of 71 years, Ray, cherished their time together, traveling, farming, and enjoying many games, including cards and ping pong. They also had memorable golf cart rides and found delight in Hallmark movies. Above all, Rose treasured her time with family and friends, creating lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rose Marie will be remembered for her unwavering love, dedication, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, A. Ray Brown, whom she married on July 2, 1949, and who died on May 21, 2021; a grandson, Maxwell Brown; her parents, Elmer Sr. and Lulu, nee Mueller, Siebert; and siblings, Elton Siebert, Roland Siebert, Elmer Siebert, Jr, Luella Elenz, and Eileen Brandenburger.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa E. (Joseph) Melton of Belleville, IL; a son, Gordon S. (Jennaver) Brown; five grandchildren, Keri (Damien) Edgington, Kristina Melton,
Morgan Brown, Marley (Akeel Shah) Brown, and Mason Brown; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2024, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Union United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Union United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL, with Pastor Allynn Walker officiating.
Burial will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
