Sharon K. Cooper, 82, of Pontoon Beach, Illinois passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home. She was born February 16, 1942, in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of the late Floyd and Norma (Trammell) Schwartz. Sharon married the love of her life, Guy R. Cooper, on October 18, 1961, and he passed away on November 5, 1995. She never overcame the loss of her husband and looked forward to the day of reuniting with him in Heaven. She cherished the love and special times she shared with her children and grandchildren. Sharon is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Bruce Nicol of Granite City and Susan and Dennis Morris of Falcon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Bruce Nicol Jr. of Granite City, Dylan and McKayla Morris of Falcon, Missouri and Brandon Morris of Ft. Riley, Kansas; four great grandchildren, Kole, Khloe, Lyla and Lynliegh Nicol; four siblings, Sondra Eagon, Shara Nichols, Rick Schwartz and Floyd Schwartz Jr.; other extended family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Schwartz and Rodney Maxwell. In celebration of her life a graveside service will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon at 12 p.m. noon on Friday, August 23, 2024, with Reverend Sharon Autenreith officiating.
