Sherry Fluck, nee Young, 76, of New Athens, IL, born September 26, 1947, in Lansing, TN, died Friday, August 23, 2024, at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL.
Mrs. Fluck was supportive and caring. She always made people feel special. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family and loved Christmas and Elvis. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed being part of the women’s bowling league in New Athens, IL. Sherry was a member of the FCB’s Wish.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Little; her parents, Homer and Beulah, nee Summers, Young; and a sister, Mary Sizemore.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Stephen Fluck, whom she married on March 2, 1966; three daughters, Paula (Jon) Meyer, Stephanie (Chris) Moeser, and Lisa (Todd) Lannom; 12 grandchildren, Dylayna (Benny Lemberg) Little, Jessyka (Chris) Graham, Jeremiah (Monica) Moeser, Christopher Moeser, Jr., Emily (Mark) O’Neill, Judah Moeser, Mary (Alex) Eggemeyer, Chloe Moeser, Sean Moeser, Margaret Moeser, Stephen (Hope) Lannom, and Tucker Lannom; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, H. Clark (Yvonne) Young and Ronald (Linda) Young; two brothers-in-law, John Sizemore and Dan (Janet) Fluck; a sister-in-law, Cindy (John) Hofmann; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024, at Hope Christian Church, Freeburg, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024, at Hope Christian Church, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Dale Weber officiating.
According to Sherry’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Freeburg, IL, at a later date.
