Pearlie Robinson

Pearlie Mae Robinson, 80, of Granite City, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital. She was born August 31, 1943, in Pocahontas, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Eliza (Canada) Ward and Jasper Clincy. Pearlie married the love of her life, Gerald Randy Robinson on July 11, 1970, at the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Madison and he survives. She was a devoted and loving homemaker, had worked as a school bus driver, daycare provider and a foster mom. Pearlie was a faithful member of the Southern Missionary Baptist Church in East St. Louis where she was active with the usher ministry. She enjoyed being outdoors and her flower gardens. Pearlie was a cherished wife, mom and grandma who loved cooking and baking and tending to her family. In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years, she is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and Garry Webster of Madison, Debbie Robinson of Granite City and Jacqueline Robinson of Granite City; a son, Steadman Robinson of Granite City; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Robinson of North Carolina, Kyndell Robinson of Granite City, Adariah Warren of Granite City, Morgan Robinson of Granite City, Joshua Webster Sr. of Madison, Jared Webster of Chicago, Alyviana Robinson of Granite City, Daylen Robinson of Granite City and Laiana Robinson of Granite City; six great grandchildren, Joshua, Ezra, Domanii, Jett, Rayne and Robinson; a sister-in-law, Victoria Clincy of St. Louis; special friends, Odessa and Vernon Wells of O’Fallon, Illinois; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica Robinson and four siblings, Priscilla Ward, Ruth Brown, Jasper Clincy and Bettie Cheney.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, 800 Jefferson Street in Madison, Illinois on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Juan Conway and Pastor Joshua Webster Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
