Raymond Chester Wylde, 84, of Granite City, IL passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in St. Louis, MO.
He was born to the late Noah Chester and Mary Alma (Smith) Wylde on October 9, 1939 in Charleston, MO. Raymond met Diane Turner and they were married in South Roxanna, IL on December 18, 1999. Raymond was a great father and grandfather who enjoyed spending his Monday and Tuesday evenings watching Wrestling. He also played guitar and played for his church’s Praise and Worship team.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 24 years, Diane Wylde; four daughters: Sherry Macko, Donna Curless, Karen Sparks, Diane Hubatchek; two sons: William Smart and Brian Smart; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by a brother Thomas (Joe) Wylde and a sister Mary Boyles.
