William Howard “Bill” Snider, 63, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 11:29 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at SSM DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.
He was born May 13, 1961, in Granite City, a son of the late Gerald and Linda (Ogden) Snider.
He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann (Youngman) Snider on February 7, 1981, in St. Louis, Missouri and she survives.
Bill was employed at SSM DePaul Hospital with over 15 years of dedicated service as a power plant engineer. He enjoyed attending Calvary Life Church in Granite City and cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed building things and tinkering and always loved a day of fishing and hunting.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica and Lonnie Slone of Waycross, Georgia and Julie Snider of Granite City, Illinois; two grandchildren, Angel and Taylor Williams of Oklahoma and Adam Slone of Georgia; four siblings and their spouses, Susie and Mike Davis of Illinois, Frank and Sue Snider of Missouri, Linde and Barry Bushong of Missouri and Sam and Tracy Snider of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, with Reverend Mike Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
