Martha Grace Castellini, 86, of Madison, IL, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Tues. Sept. 10, 2024 at Evercare of Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL.
She was born Oct. 28, 1937 in Peoria, IL to the late Frank Karl and Elsie Altman (Buchanan) Ensor.
On Oct. 19, 1973, she and Merton Eugene Castellini Jr. were married in Peoria. He preceded her in death June 10, 2010.
Martha had been a receptionist until she became a mother. She had been a member of the Granite City Women of the Moose. She loved bingo and had also been a member of the Pottymouth C.B. club and her handle was “Hillbilly Gal”.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Merle “Butch” (Patti) Castellini of St. Louis, MO; two daughters: Angela Castellini of Madison, IL and Martha Grace Wood of MI; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Eddie Turner; a brother: Frank Ronald Ensor; and two sisters: Karlene Grubbs and Marian Dunning.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City. Private burial will be held at Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery.
