Brandi Nicole Fortman, 45, passed away at 10:01 pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 in Saint Louis, MO.
She was born on May 12, 1979 in Alton, IL to Robert C. Carpenter and Victoria A. (Baker) Neunaber.
She married Carl J. Fortman on July 11, 2014 in Sparta, IL. He survives.
Brandi worked as a packer in Amazon’s fulfillment center. She enjoyed watching St. Louis Blues hockey games, laughing, fishing and being bossy. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband, Brandi is survived by her parents, Bob (Susan Dickerson) Carpenter and Vicki (Eric) Neunaber; children, Andy McIntyre, Destiny “Desi” McIntyre, Lilly Marlin, Josie Marlin, Zoe Marlin, Jocelynn Rains and Baylee (Tyler Gerlach) Fortman; half-sister, Laura (Jodie) Johnson; half-brother, Tim Scheldt; grandchildren, Alex, Aubrey, Riley and Linley; one grandchild on the way, Gracelynn; maternal grandmother, Illa Mashburn; and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
Brandi will continue to live on in our memories and lives, in addition to spreading joy to other families through her organ and tissue donations.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.
The family asks all those attending the visitation to please dress in St. Louis Blues attire.
Memorials are suggested to the Epilepsy Foundation and or 5A’s Animal Shelter.
