Raymond William Klein, age 75, born March 23, 1949 in Belleville, Ill., passed away September 20, 2024 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Ray attended St. Teresa Grade School and graduated from Althoff Catholic High School. He was an electrical engineer and worked for the telephone company as a draftsman for building distribution power plants. Ray enjoyed tinkering on cars, fishing, duck hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, dad, and papa.
Surviving are his wife Donna, nee Distler, Klein, whom he married June 23, 1973; his sons Travis (Christina, nee Hamilton) Klein of Columbia, Ill., and Russell (Nicole Kreisel) Klein of St. Louis; grandchildren Paul and Jillian Klein and Maylin Hamilton; sisters-in-law Janet Klein of Mascoutah, and Linda (the late James “Jay” Holland) Distler of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Helen, nee Schobert, Klein, and his brother Kenneth Klein.
