Pauline Louise Kaesberg, nee Peltes, of Belleville, IL, peacefully crossed over at her home on September 21, 2024, just months after joyfully celebrating her 100th birthday.
Born on June 30, 1924, in Aviston, IL, Pauline was the daughter of Anton and Marie Peltes, nee Billhartz. A graduate of Aviston Community High School’s Class of 1942, she dedicated her early career to healthcare billing at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. On July 31, 1948, she married Dr. Norman T. Kaesberg, DC, RPT, and together they owned and operated Kaesberg Chiropractic Clinic, founded in 1950, where she delighted in serving their patients and community.
Pauline proudly became a mother in 1962 and showered her only daughter with love and dedication.
Pauline found joy in the pages of her favorite books, cheered passionately for the St. Louis Cardinals, and enjoyed watching and playing tennis. Her days often included laughter while watching game shows. She shared her home with her beloved cat, Shimsa, who was a constant source of companionship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Marie Peltes, nee Billhartz; her siblings, Anthony Peltes and Marie Poelker, nee Peltes; and her husband, Dr. Norman T. Kaesberg DC, RPT.
Pauline is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Kendra and Dr. James White, as well as her grandchildren: Captain Benjamin White, Michelle (Drew) Harvey, and Bruce White. Each of them carries forward her spirit of kindness and unwavering love.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Lake View Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m., officiated by Reverend Monsignor John Myler.
