Jane Love

With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, we announce the passing of Jane Ann (nee Jones) Love. She was a kind, caring and loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, daughter and friend to many.

Jane of O’Fallon Illinois, passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 77 after suffering from Dementia for several years. Jane worked at Sam’s Club as a Membership Sales Representative for more than 25 years. While her career was important to her, her family was always her priority and joy.  ane was a doting mother to Geri and Steven, grandmother to Chelsea, Haley and Christopher and great grandmother to Aubree, Paxton, Mollie, Aiden, Arthur and Kairi. When she wasn’t spending time with family, she enjoyed vacationing, bird watching (especially cardinals and hummingbirds), collecting figurines, and her dogs. Jane was a kind and thoughtful soul that will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. Jane, everyone you left in this world is so sad that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free and painless, and most importantly you are with your departed loved ones again. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Love; her daughter, Geri Anne Thompson; her parents, Maurice and Mertice, (nee Davis) Jones; and her sister, Vivian Weathers and many canine companions.

She is survived by her son, Steven Michael (Jessica Kester) Love; her grandchildren, Chelsea Love (Michael Frazier), Haley (Darren) Chamness, and Christopher (Krystal) Thompson; her great grandchildren, Aubree, Paxton, Mollie, Aiden, Arthur and Kairi; and her sister, Carol S. Kleeve and other nieces, nephews, assorted family, and many caring friends.

A private family service and burial will be held.
