Richard T. Wagner, 67, of Smithton, IL, formerly of Chester, born October 23, 1956, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.
Mr. Wagner was a United States Navy veteran and served on the USS Henry B. Wilson. He loved photography and especially enjoyed shooting wildlife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Janette, nee Holle, Wagner; four brothers, Michael Wagner, Gary Wagner, John Wagner, and Joseph Wagner, in infancy; and a sister, Diane Kraft.
Surviving are three brothers, David Wagner, Ronald (Diane) Wagner, and Mark Wagner; three sisters, Jeanette (Bruce) Morgan, Janice (Gary) Loyet, and Patricia Lang; and numerous nieces and nephews.
