Julie Ann Crowder, 60, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Tues. Oct. 22, 2024 at DeGreef House in St. Louis, MO with her family at her side.
She was born Dec. 14, 1963 in Granite City to the late Joseph David and Marian E. (Tayon) Kastelic.
Julie had been a homemaker and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Cardinals fan and liked cats and all animals. She was a tough lady with a sassy, raunchy sense of humor.
She is survived by three children: Shawn Nicol of Mountain Grove, MO, Justin Nicol of Granite City, and Emily (Caleb Fulton) Nicol of Caseyville, IL; 2 grandchildren: Nicholas Garner Jr. and Jace Nicol; a sister: Donna (Richard) Reid of Waco, TX; a brother-in-law: Kenny (Brenda) Nicol of Granite City; and friend and neighbor: Sharon Wickam of Granite City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Chelsey Nicol.
Julie made a gift of her body to the Washington University School of Medicine.
