Sandra Tottleben

Sandra Lee (nee Brown) Tottleben, age 80 of Highland, IL (formerly of Granite City, IL), born October 28, 1944 in St. Louis, MO, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2024 at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Highland, IL.

Sandra had worked as a purchasing coordinator at Ralston Purina Company. She loved animals, traveling, and cooking. She especially loved to entertain and host family gatherings. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was sweet, caring, and always willing to help others.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James (Jim) Grote, second husband, Robert “Bob” Tottleben; a great-grandson, Ezra; parents, Everett and Rachel (nee Ward) Brown; a brother, Richard Brown, Sr.; and a sister, Regina Everett.

She is survived by her two children: Eric Grote of Granite City, IL and Jeannie (Bob) Adamick of Highland, IL; five grandchildren: Wesley Grote, Kayla (Aaron) Lott, and Nick Grote, Rachel (Mike) Ball and Tanner Adamick; 10 great-grandchildren: Bridgett, Peyton, Christian, Cayson, Shiloh, Ember, Eskel, Rowan, Elijah and Juliet; a brother, Don (Sheila) Brown of Granite City, IL; a sister, Cheryl (Wayne) McCrea of Glen Carbon, IL; a sister-in-law, Kathy (John Thomas) Flynn of Edwardsville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark McGranahan officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the Siteman Cancer Center and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
