Nancy Ann Rosales, 85, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 3:39 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh, Illinois.
She was born July 11, 1939, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Cummins) Coleman.
She married Ferdinand J. “Buffalo Joe” Rosales on May 17, 1958, in Granite City and he passed away on November 29, 2014.
Nancy retired from the Granite City School District after 37 years of dedicated service as a secretary throughout the district and with the school board. She was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and enjoyed helping with many luncheons through the years. She and her husband loved square dancing and were members of the Boots and Slippers Square Dancing Club and enjoyed their days of traveling and were members of the Gateway Wagoneers. She had attended the H.O.P.E. luncheons and enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Laura Rosales of Granite City; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Mia Rosales of Bethalto; six grandchildren, Michael and Laura Snyder, Nicole Snyder, Hope Rosales, Seth Allen, Adam Allen and Levi Allen; four great grandchildren, Lauren and Andy, Alex, Shaun and Brooke; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Carol Rosales of Granite City; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2300 Pontoon Road in Granite City at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, with Father Alfred Tumwesigye as celebrant.
Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
