Jolene H. Wallis, nee Weilmuenster, 77, of Belleville, IL, born Wednesday, December 11, 1946, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at her residence in Belleville, IL.
Jolene grew up on a farm outside of Darmstadt, IL, the eldest daughter of Edwin and Sylvia Weilmuenster. After graduating high school, she moved to the city to pursue her career working in the banking industry in St. Louis, MO for many years and then as a legal secretary at Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum in St. Louis, MO and the Law Office of Matthew Marlen in Belleville, IL.
She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL, and Wesley Ringers, New Life Club, New Life Club Choir and very active in Senior Ministry. Jolene had a profound love of music, especially sacred music. She loved to play the piano and played the organ once a month in the country at her home church, Holy Ghost United Church of Christ in Darmstadt, IL. She had great joy from service and ministering to others. She always looked forward to the time she spent with her family and friends.
She loved to work on needlework projects as well as gardening, planting and watering her flowers.
Jolene had a kind and quiet spirit. She will be missed by many.

Visitation: Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 with Rev. Bob Swickard officiating. Internment will follow at Darmstadt Memorial Cemetery, Darmstadt, IL at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Tarrah Vaupel officiating.
