Lonnie Dale Brock, 74, of Belleville, IL, born August 1, 1950, in Harlan, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, in his home.
Lonnie owned and worked at Mission Essential Barber Shop for 14 years with his wife of 52 years, Sitha Brock. He was a wood craftsman, knife maker, blacksmith, bird watcher, and an all-around outdoorsman. Lonnie was also an ‘adoptive’ father of sorts to many, and he enjoyed staying on his family’s land in the hills of Kentucky when he could.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ail and Ora Brock (nee Muncie); and his beloved wife, Sitha Brock (nee Turner).
Cherishing Lonnie’s memory are his two children, Anthony (Alina) Brock of Columbus, GA, Stephanie (Mitchell) Bradshaw of Springfield, IL; four siblings, Madeline Kirby of KY, William Earl (Kathy) Brock of PA, Del (Fay) Brock of KY, Curtis (Becky) Brock of KY; and one grandson, Lyle Etherton.
